Start Making Stuff

If I'd waited to know who I was or what I was about before I started "being creative,"

well, I'd still be sitting around trying to figure myself out instead of making things.

In my experience, it's in the act of making things and

doing our work that we figure out who we are.

You're ready. Start making stuff.

I've always been a dreamer.

It wasn't until recently that I realized that unless I actually TRY to build things and make mistakes, I would only ever be a dreamer.

The difference between being a dreamer and a do-er is your willingness to look bad.

Being a perfectionist, I absolutely hate messing up. But lately, I find myself enjoying rolling up my sleeves and building something much much less than perfect.

This blog is a way for me to learn how to look bad.

This blog is a way for me to build something less than perfect.

I'm not an exceptional writer. I simply enjoy reading the words of exceptional writers and teaching others about what I've read. There are times when I'm nervous to push publish on one of these posts because I know it could be so much better if only I had more time.

I force myself to push the button and walk away.

I'm ready. I'm making stuff. And it's a lot more fun this way.

What dream will you pick today to just start building?
