Dust ourselves off...

Our destiny is not determined by the number of times we stumble
but by the number of times we rise up,
dust ourselves off and move forward.
One of the first things we learn as a child is how to walk. We try a thousand times, fall a thousand times, and get up another thousand times.
Why do we so quickly forget this when we try something new as adults?
Why do we forget that the best things in life require some stumbling?
The older I get, the more I realize that my heroes are the people who excel at falling and not letting their "failure" overwhelm them. They do not allow the word "failure" to imply permanence. They use the word "failure" to imply a temporary set-back in their goals.
In fact, many look at failure as a sign that they're headed the right direction.
What is your definition of "failure?" Have you forgotten the first lesson you learned as a child, that falling is the best way to learn and try again?
