Routine has a tendency to numb your creativity.

Waking up at the same time, taking the same transportation,

traveling the same route, plopping down in the same chair at the same desk

in the same office over and over and over

isn't exactly a perscription for inspiration.

Today I'm moving to Vietnam.

For two and a half years, I have been living in Utah. Changing things up with trail running, skiing, and hiking.

But it's time for a change of scenery.

As in, peace out America, hello Saigon.

There is a wonderful consistency and stability that comes with routine. Both great things until they limit our ability to create meaningful work, reach dreams, and regularly reassess our assumptions.

Travel (not tourism) has been my way of snapping out of assumptions long enough to make some much-needed changes. Travel (not tourism) consists of learning 24/7. Travel (not tourism) provides me with inspiration to create projects that make a difference.

What parts of your routine may be limiting your ability to create?

What is your perscription for inspiration?
