As we do the work we feel called to do, we will have times of darkness - when you lose sight of the end goal and can't remember why you started it in the first place.

As Steven Pressfield remind us, we can count on feeling resistance for our best ideas.

For me, I know there is someone who absolutely wants to derail me from the work I'm meant to do.

We must remember that resistance is temporary - the tunnel is short - and hold on for the light. And, as a reward for holding on, we feel much more accomplished in our work.

Even better news is that there is an engineer who knows how to manage the train and knows how to get to the destination.

Our job, then, is to keep showing up, do the work, hold onto our tickets, and trust the engineer.
