The Deaf Dream

We found that many teachers did not recognize the potential of their Deaf students. They expected their pupils beg after school. Future doctors, teachers, researchers are currently in schools like this Ghanaian institution. They can change the world if we provide opportunity and support their dreams!

As I was leaving Cambodia, I ran into a Deaf market vendor and several Deaf artists. They had been taught to paint but as far as I could tell they had not had a complete formal education. Deaf deserve a solid educational foundation so that they can carve their own life paths.

Khiem petitioned the government for over 10 years to set up a Deaf club where he could teach sign language, add to their education, and impart Deaf culture and history. As our first potential Deaf Dreamer, he is determined to study in America, return to Vietnam, and improve the status of Deaf throughout his nation.
