How will we do this?

What is our innovation?

Deaf people in the developing world are consistently marginalized. We find, educate, and support Deaf leaders to be examples and advocates in their communities. We believe in the innovative ability and capacity of Deaf to make global change and recognize them as an untapped resource. By empowering Deaf through education and employment, The Deaf Dream borrows the "teach a man to fish" principle.

The Deaf Dream is a program designed to empower Deaf global leaders. Deaf Dreamers who complete our program will be equipped with collegiate education experience, an employment resume, and a worldwide network of contacts that can further their individual dreams to change the world.

The success of The Deaf Dream lies in networking. Rather than building from the ground up and relying solely on inconsistent donations, we are bridging the gaps between already established businesses, schools and organizations to build a process by which Deaf Dreamers can obtain the tools needed to actively make a difference in their nations.

We are also establishing chapters of The Deaf Dream across the USA to raise Deaf rights awareness, assist in fundraising for education, and promote worldwide solutions.

Our organization is unique because we do not seek simply to “help” Deaf individuals, but instead we find, educate, and employ Deaf Dreamers around the world, who will in turn empower their Deaf communities as a whole.

We are not seeking to "fix" other countries, but instead recognize that with the privilege of equal opportunity, these fully capable Deaf Dreamers can better their own nations and educate their fellow Deaf citizens.

The Deaf Dream empowers dreamers with help from two perpetual funding programs:

A "Personal Investment" program will have dreamers devote part of their employment paycheck towards their future education.

A "Pay Back" program encourages dreamers to return from their education to help teach the next generation of leaders or tutor future hearing interpreters.

We also rely heavily on sponsors and donors to make up the difference.
