Now around 300 Deaf come to communicate, promote Deaf rights, and learn together. Khiem started classes to teach hearing people Vietnamese Sign Language. He also started an awareness campaign around the abuse of Deaf women.

Khiem wanted to graduate from a university and taught himself English so that we would be able to study if the opportunity ever opened up. He is currently attending Ho Chi Minh University of Fine Art via donations from The Deaf Dream donors.
