Just had the best Rovia tour ever.
I'm not being over the top. Seriously, this was the BEST tour I've experienced in my Rovia trip so far. :)
We went on a food tour with a Baltimore local (Ambi) who took us to 6 restaurants around town and give us samplings of the best food in the area. I have FALLEN IN LOVE with Baltimore - I love the streets, the huge variety in neighborhoods, the preserved history and the friendly people!

The owner of the top story in the grey building on the right has a projector.
They project movies each week in Little Italy onto the old billboard on the left!

I loved the tidy historical districts that have been so preserved!
For the tour we had amazing crab cakes and chowder at One Eyed Mike's. [When we walked in the door and walked through the tiny bar, everyone inside started cheering and welcoming us in - the best welcome ever! :) ] Then we had incredible [legit] fries and sandwiches at Hungry Andy's. We visited an Italian bakery then stopped at Riptide By The Bay for potstickers. There were another two restaurants in there somewhere but they all kind of meshed together in my head. :)
Not only that, but we visited the Flag Museum and the Museum of Industry (and contrary to their slightly boring names, they were awesome!)

Everyone loved the car displays at the Museum of Industry

The blacksmith, Bob, at the Museum of Industry made this rose!

This wall of the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House is made to scale.
It was so big that Mary Pickersgill had to sew it in a local factory by the end.

Mary Pickersgill's home where she and the other 5 ladies in the home sewed the flag.
They had their own flag-making business for the ships in the harbour.
(So uncommon for women to have their own business back in that time).
The tour was wonderful and it was a great day. Our group is so close-knit so we took a lot of awesome group photos that I WISH I could share. [But I took them for Rovia so I can't post them.]
Happy Travels!
Destiny
